# COLOR Vol. 1

July 2025 to July 2026

I started making COLOR Vol. 1 as a simple color study. Over the course of a year, from July 2025 to July 2026, I photographed whatever caught my attention and slowly began to see the collection take shape.

Every image in the book was shot with either the Leica Q2 or SL3. I wasn't working toward a specific story or trying to document a particular place. Instead, I was interested in noticing color in everyday life and seeing where that would take me.

I've always enjoyed quiet, peaceful settings. I find myself drawn to places where there isn't much happening, and to objects that most people might walk right past without noticing. A faded sign, a parked car, a wall, a piece of furniture, or something left behind can become interesting when you take the time to really look at it.

Sometimes the color was the main reason I made the photograph. Other times, it was something more subtle. A small detail, a combination of colors, a certain kind of light, or a moment that just felt right.

As the year went on, I started to think about color less as something that simply exists within a photograph and more as a subject of its own. It can change the feeling of a place, draw your attention to something unexpected, or connect two completely unrelated images.

The book became a collection of those moments and those quiet observations.

There isn't really a beginning, middle, or end to the project. It's more like a snapshot of a year spent slowing down, paying attention, and finding beauty in things that are easy to overlook.

I'm excited to finally share COLOR Vol. 1 and hope you enjoy looking through it as much as I enjoyed making it.
